Why use a consultant?
The primary reasons why businesses engage are consultant to lodge their EMDG applications is to maximise their grant payment and minimise the risks of accidently making themselves ineligible. A consultant knows all the rules and regulations and can help in claims preparation to ensure the client receives the best possible outcome.
Appling for EMDG can be time consuming, and using a consultant minimises the hours required to be spent on the task so you can spend time doing more important things. Another advantage of using a consultant is that they can recognise and help you apply for other government grants you are eligible for.
There are no mandatory qualifications or accreditations required for consultants to perform the task, however, we recommend only using businesses with a qualified MBA, and EMDG consults who are part of following associations; Export Consultants Group (ECG) from within the Australian Institute of Export (AIEX). ECG and Austrade together administer a Code of Practice Administration Committee (COPAC) for EMDG consultants. All COPAC consultants have met the continuing professional development requirements and have access to the latest EMDG guidelines.
